Simulações com um Modelo de Camada Limite Planetária

Abstract


Experiments have been conducted using a planetary boundary layer model which simulates the diurnal variations of the physical processes developed in this thin atmospheric layer. The data used are from Punta Arenas, Chile (53°S, 70° 15′W). Analysis has been made considering two cases: a summer situation and a frost case. In both cases the results seem to be qualitatively in good agreement with the diurnal cycle characteristic curves of the boundary layer variables.
